Dr. Knight grew up in St. Louis and graduated from Lafayette High School. She received both a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in 1982 and veterinary degree in 1986 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Knight's areas of interest in veterinary medicine include feline medicine, dentistry, and nutrition.
She is married to Doug Kroft, who is also a veterinarian, and they have two children Nathan and Claire. They share their home with Ella, an Italian Greyhound and two cats: Hazel "The Demon Cat" and Drake.
When not practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys boating, nature, hiking and gardening.
